Gnomon Gallery Show

I was really exited when I was asked to submit my work "Zaark" for the Gnomon Gallery.

The show is on 6th July 09,at Gnomon. 23 artists from the Pixologic Action Hero Contest

will be featured with both 2d and 3d prints.This is my first time that any of my art work is

getting into a gallery so I am super exited.

I wish I could go and check out the gallery, specially want to see the 3d prints.Anyways If someone goes there , please take some pics and videos and do let me know.

I was going through the ESSENCE: The Face book and thought why don't i do the same thing in zbrush. This is what i came up with in the end. I used polypaint and zapp to get to this level.

This guy was done to learn anatomy and i was experimenting on how to bake zbrush shader to a texture .Finally a found a way to do it you can find the tutorial here.
The color u see on the model is a texture not zbrush material

I was selected as one of the expert character artist for 3d world magazine October 2007 issue to give some expert tips on silo . Mayan hunter and the old man zbrush sculpt got published in the magazine.Really happy to see my work on the magazine.

MCFARLANE'S Spawn Lord Covenant

I was browsing Spawn.com couple of months back and saw this toy Lord Covenant ,I was amazed with the kinda of details they put in the toy ,Then it started running in my head to model this guy ,bought the toy and started modeling him,The base mesh was done in Silo rest all in Zbrush .Its still a Work in progress.I am planning to render this guy out in Maya , Need lot of work to be done in the body right now and I'll be changing the pose slightly, specially his legs You can see more of his pics here http://www.flickr.com/photos/canndis/sets/72157601608430116/

Steps towards Texturing

Started this model to learn texturing in zbrush,took me abt 8 hrs from modeling to texturing .Texturing took most of my time as i was new to it .It's not a prefect model but i am happy with what has come so far.

After playing with ZB 3 for a day i started working on this model . The base mesh was done a week before the ZB3 release. I was actually preparing this one for zb3 after seeing the cool beta images. Having fun with it now.

Ronto has started to take shape now.I am concentrating more on his propostion right now .Still a long way to go.

The model took a form after watching the movie Apocalypto. Modeling was done using Silo and Zbrush. The tatoos were done using zbrush app link and photoshop.

Love making Creatures and monsters ,havent done much in 3d except the Zombi guy .I started this model having in mind that he will be a poisonous amphibian jus coming out the water to get his prey.

Base mesh was done in Silo and the started the sculpt in zbrush 2 .Had lot of fun doing him , specially when Zbrush 3 came.

Love the new realtime alpha projection and the polypaint tools.

I have got lots of comments on the color i used ,well I have never textured any of my model ,this is my first try on texture, i will catch up soon on the colors and lighting.

I have been using zbrush from version1.5 , but never did a serious work in it.The boxer was initially started in zbrush but dint complete it.
